Meet the Jacksonville Team Behind Birchbark Roofing Jacksonville
Roofing in Jacksonville isn’t a nine-month trade. It’s sun on your neck in August, a thunderstorm rolling in off the Atlantic at 3 p.m., and shingles hot enough to leave a mark. The crew we’ve built at Birchbark Roofing Jacksonville knows all of it. Each of them joined because they wanted to do roofing differently: written pricing before anything starts, drop cloths through the hallway, and a photo of the clean-up before we drive away. They’re background-checked, uniformed, and they answer to one person on every job: you.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has spent 14 years on Jacksonville roofs, and he’s seen every way a roof can fail in this climate. He’s our lead on complex repair jobs, the guy who maps out where water is actually getting in before anyone pulls a shingle. Marcus holds certifications through GAF and CertainTeed, and he’s the first to say that the roof isn’t done until the ridge cap sits straight. Off the clock, he rebuilds old two-stroke boat motors in his Mandarin garage. Most of them run better than when they left the factory.
Danielle R., Senior Installer
Danielle runs our replacement crews like a site foreman, because that’s what she is. She’s been installing architectural shingles and standing seam for 11 years, and she’s trained on Owens Corning and IKO systems specifically for Florida wind uplift. Danielle keeps a written checklist on every job: underlayment, flashing, valley, vent, edge. Nothing gets signed off until each line is checked. She’s also the reason our crews take a real lunch break, not a gas-station sandwich in the truck. Her pit bull, Biscuit, has never been on a roof, but he thinks he has.
Samir P., Service Coordinator
When you call Birchbark Roofing Jacksonville, you won’t get a voicemail tree. You’ll get a person, and a lot of the time that person is Samir. He’s been coordinating roof repair and replacement schedules in the Jacksonville area for 8 years. Samir is the one who confirms your written price before any work starts and makes sure the crew arrives with shoe covers, drop cloths, and the right materials for the job. He keeps a county flood-zone map at his desk, because drainage in Riverside and drainage in Arlington are not the same conversation. Ask him about his garden. He’ll tell you the okra survived the last freeze and the tomatoes did not.
Leo D., Apprentice
Leo came to us two years ago from the west side of Jacksonville, and he’s been learning under Marcus and Danielle ever since. He started hauling shingles and clearing debris, and now he’s cutting valleys and installing drip edge on his own sections. Leo is on track to take his manufacturer certification exam through Atlas by the end of the year. He keeps a small notebook in his back pocket and writes down a new detail from every job. If you see a uniformed guy on your roof taking a knee to study a flashing transition, that’s Leo doing what he does.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Birchbark Roofing Jacksonville crew member follows the same rules on every property, whether it’s a small repair in Murray Hill or a full replacement in Bartram Park. We name what will be protected inside your home before we start: shoe covers at the door, drop cloths through the hallway, all debris cleared and photographed before we leave. We ask before we move or touch anything in the yard. We respect quiet hours, and if the dog needs to stay inside, we coordinate the door schedule with you. We use pet-safe products where there’s a choice. It’s a simple standard, and we don’t bend it. The 365-Day Done Right Promise means if something isn’t right, we make it right. That promise doesn’t work unless every technician, installer, and coordinator on the team actually keeps it.
